27th June 2021: We're live with for a DeepDive illuminating the situation on the ground in Masafer Yatta, where thousands of Palestinians are facing imminent expulsion.
In the early 1980s the IDF declared the area a firing zone (“Firing Zone 918”), an action viewed by experts as a violation of international law and one clearly undertaken with the objective of forcibly displacing the Palestinian residents of the area to take control of the land.
Last month, the Israeli Supreme Court rejected the residents' claims to the land in favour of the military, declaring the region a closed-off training area following the two-decade legal battle.
Residents fear expulsion and are already at the mercy of Israeli home demolitions and property confiscations while also facing regular harassment and violence from both the Israeli army and Israeli settlers.
We’re live with Basil Al-Adraa, a local resident, activist & journalist, and Yuval Abraham, a Jerusalem-based journalist and activist.

Together they will be picking apart the Western media's coverage, or lack of it, on the realities Palestinians face on the ground under Israel's occupation.
Tune in as they shine a light on the journalistic double standards of major Western outlets seen in the reporting of recent events, such as the killing of the iconic Palestinian journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, by Israeli forces last month.

11th May 2022: Today we DeepDive into Israel’s targeting of Palestinian journalists. This morning, veteran Palestinian journalist, Shireen Abu Akleh, was shot dead by Israeli forces while reporting for Al Jazeera from a Palestinian refugee camp in Jenin, occupied West Bank.
Eye witnesses say Israeli snipers shot at her and a colleague, Ali al-Samoudi, who was also wounded by a bullet in the back, despite them both wearing press vests and helmets.
According to the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), at least 46 Palestinian journalists have been killed by Israel since the year 2000 and no one has been held to account.

27th April 2022: We're live with distinguished Palestinian politician, activist and physician, Dr. Mustafa Barghouti, to hear the latest on what's really happening on the ground in Jerusalem and further afield in Palestine.
On Friday, 150,000 Palestinians travelled to Al-Aqsa, occupied East Jerusalem, on the third Friday of Ramadan where over 150 of whom were injured, including two journalists.
Viral footage showed drones dropping tear gas and a Palestinian journalist being treated from injuries after being struck with a rubber-coated steel bullet in the neck.
Dr Barghouti recently told Al Jazeera that such increased confrontations on the ground in Palestine are leading to something that could become “a wide-ranging intifada”.
